Mangrove purchased this building in 2018, after a devastating fire left the home vacant for several decades. After clearing the structurally-damaged floor joists throughout the building, a full restoration began in late 2019. This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath has a completely restored front porch, with granite salvaged from the late Larry Giles’ architectural museum in Sauget, IL. The building’s cornice was restored using a local plasterer, and the front porch capitals were built in-house with a custom molding process. New slate roof on the home and front porch. Quartz vanity tops in the upstairs baths. Immaculate brickwork on the exterior. Tile master shower that is 4’ x 7’. Laundry on second floor. Granite countertops in the kitchen, with stainless steel hood and appliances. Completely rebuilt two-story rear decks.

Structural repairs: All floor joists were removed through a meticulous demolition process. The original iron beam in the basement was preserved. The original oil boiler is visible in the basement (removed by asbestos contractor).
